Project New Nigeria has officially extended its student support programme to Niger Delta University (NDU), awarding comprehensive scholarships and digital devices to deserving students. Founded by Samuel Kaley Nzidee, the initiative held the landmark event at the university's New Site Multipurpose Hall in Bayelsa State, in strategic partnership with the Foundation for Citizens Empowerment and the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). During the programme, 300 scholarships were awarded to alleviate tuition burdens, alongside the distribution of 15 iPads to selected beneficiaries to support their digital academic work. This significant intervention follows a similar successful programme at the University of Port Harcourt in the previous year, bringing the total number of supported students to over 400 across the region. The programme aims not only to provide financial relief but also includes dedicated sessions on civic education and youth participation in democratic processes.
